Information about Our Neighborhood
 
Blue Lake is a great neighborhood located in the middle of the Roaring Fork Valley of Western Colorado at an elevation of 6400 feet above sea level.  First developed in the mid 1980s and expanded in the mid 1990s, it is 350 single-family homes for families who work and play in the Roaring Fork Valley and want a safe and comfortable place to live during all phases of life. Home prices range greatly here, and hold their values due to the overall appeal of the neighborhood.
 
Residents enjoy 140+ acres of common space including a private lake, pond, parks, playgrounds, and several miles of paved trails.  Our trails connect to the Rio Grande bike path which goes from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.  Mature trees and landscaping abound.  We are a very short distance to the vitality of El Jebel and Willits restaurants, shopping, movie theaters, City Market and Whole Foods. RFTA (regional transit)) has bus stops here for up valley and down valley passengers a few times each hour.
 
Our covenants are enforced to keep the focus on the beauty of the neighborhood and the surrounding mountains.  We have storage facilities available only to homeowners for RV's, boats, etc. (There is currently a long waiting list for space.)  The association is financially sound and has a dedicated volunteer board of directors. 
 
Blue Lake Preschool is a separate entity but residents of Blue Lake get priority on their waiting list for enrollment.  Contact them at 970-963-4380 for more information.  www.bluelakepreschool.org
